Lecturer - Specialist Further Education
Location: Bromley, South East London Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established specialist further education provider in Bromley seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer to join their dedicated team.

The Role
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated teaching that meets the individual needs of students while promoting independence, confidence and positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high‑quality, inclusive lessons.
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress against personalised learning goals and EHCP outcomes.
- Leading and managing a team of Learning Support Assistants and Assistant Lecturers.
- Working collaboratively with therapists, families and other professionals to support students' learning and development.
- Developing differentiated learning programmes tailored to individual needs.
- Contributing to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
- Supporting safeguarding, student wellbeing and an inclusive learning environment.
- Participating in professional development and performance management activities.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or Certificate in Education).
- A minimum of five years' experience working with children or young people with additional and complex needs.
- Experience of planning and delivering differentiated learning.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student‑centred learning.
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of support staff.
Experience within specialist education, SEND settings or further education is highly desirable. A specialist SEND qualification, experience leading teams and knowledge of assistive technology would also be advantageous.
