Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with SEMH needs? Our client, a small and nurturing school in Wembley, is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Lead to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a brand-new role, reporting directly to the Head Teacher, offering a unique opportunity to shape and drive behaviour and support strategies across the school. You will play a pivotal part in championing effective behaviour models for both individual pupils and groups, ensuring every child is given the tools to thrive.
Role Overview
- Develop and implement personalised reward and behaviour management systems aligned with the school’s therapeutic approach.
- Provide exceptional in-class support to staff and pupils.
- Mentor and collaborate with Class Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Therapists and parents to enhance behaviour management practice across the school.
- Support the consistent application of school policies, procedures and values.
- Act as an advocate for pupil wellbeing within the school community.
Experience
- Experience supporting children with SEMH needs and an understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed approaches.
- A resilient, empathetic and proactive individual with a genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, families and external professionals.

About the school
We are working with a specialist primary therapeutic school that caters for students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The school has children in both key stage 1 and 2, class sizes are no bigger than five children, and all children have talented 1:1 Teaching Assistants. The school follows the national curriculum, and they have an excellent professional development opportunity to ensure staff are invested in and are supported. They have a very friendly and dedicated team of staff who are very proud of the children and their achievements.
