We are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brent on a full-time basis starting in September to support learning and lead interventions.
The Role
- Working across the Year 5 cohort, supporting pupils to make strong academic progress in preparation for upper Key Stage 2.
- Leading targeted English and Maths interventions, working with small groups of pupils to build confidence, strengthen core skills, and close learning gaps.
- Providing general classroom support across the year group, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and helping to ensure all pupils remain engaged and challenged in their learning.
- Working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to monitor progress and adapt support where needed.
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant with previous experience or a strong academic background to support pupils in Key Stage 2, alongside excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Experience delivering targeted intervention programmes in English and Maths would be highly beneficial, although not essential.
