A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey is seeking a mature, resilient, and highly experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This rewarding role will involve providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), alongside delivering targeted interventions to support pupils’ academic, social, and communication development.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual targets.
Morning Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with an EHCP.
- Support language development and learning needs associated with dyslexia.
- Adapt learning activities and resources to maximise engagement and progress.
Session 3
- Support a Year 3 pupil with an EHCP and a range of additional needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Noonan syndrome, speech and language difficulties, and dyspraxia.
- Implement personalised strategies to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
Afternoon Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted intervention programmes to support academic progress, communication skills, and social development.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to inform future planning and support.
