The Role

In this SEND Nursery Assistant role, you will be supporting a child with Cerebral Palsy and a kidney disorder, assisting with:

You will receive training and support from the SENCo and external specialists, working closely with the child’s family to ensure their needs are met. As the role will be demanding, you will work alongside another member of staff to share responsibilities for caring for the child whilst at nursery. When not supporting your 1 to 1 student you will support another child in the nursery with autism to access play-based activities. This position has been advertised early to allow preparation before the child starts nursery in September. There will also be an opportunity to work with the nursery during the end of the summer term to ease the transition.
