Safeguarding Officer SEN Independent School in Camberwell for Girls 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (term time only) Temp to perm contract or straight perm Salary: £22,948 – £27,867 (prorated) Part-time – 3/4 days Must have safeguarding experience A small specialist school for girls is looking for an experienced safeguarding officer to join their team on a part-time basis. The school are offering the role as a contract basis initially, but are looking for a permanent member of the team. Please note we are only able to accept applications from candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a safeguarding officer. Job role In this role you will take lead responsibilities for safeguarding and child protection across the school. You will advise and support on welfare, and you will liaise with relevant agencies and the local authority. You will also undertake other professional duties, as delegated by the Headteacher. As the school safeguarding officer your role will include duties in all the following areas: Managing referrals to DBS, the Local Authority, agencies, the police.
