A large secondary school in Rochester is looking for a committed, passionate and hardworking Maths Teacher to join their staff on a full-time basis from September 2026. The position is for at least 3 terms. Pupils come from a diverse and vibrant local community and benefit greatly from the stability and structure within the new academy and the dedicated staff team at the school.
You will be required to teach Maths to key stage 3 and key stage 4, following the school’s policy on planning and assessment. You will be joining a supportive department that strives to maintain high standards and expectations. This welcoming secondary school is based in Kent and offers an exciting learning environment for 11–19 year olds. The school has a dynamic, personalised curriculum and is recognised as a Performing and Visual Arts specialist. The school achieves excellent results and behaviour is very good. The leadership team are committed to offering their staff an environment where they feel included, are able to be creative and have the opportunity to develop their skills.
Required Qualities- Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience of teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assessing, tracking, and recording pupil progress to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.
- Creating a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives within Performing arts.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to promote positive attitudes to learning and achievement.
