We are currently recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time and part-time basis, supporting students with SEND needs.

We have full-time and part-time Special Needs Teaching Assistant opportunities in schools supporting children and young people with a range of learning and development needs including Autism, PMLD and Behavioural Needs (SEMH).

  • Autism: As a teaching assistant for students with Autism, you will be supporting students across a range of learning and development activities. An adaptable and confident attitude is essential.
  • PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties): Your role will combine personal care support including feeding and physical support alongside supporting developmental activities. This is an excellent option for those with previous experience supporting children or adults in a care setting.
  • Behavioural Needs (SEMH): You will support students to develop their day-to-day and academic skills as well as build their self-esteem and regulate emotions. Staff are provided with training to manage and de-escalate situations.

We are currently looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants who can commit to full-time and part-time positions (8.30am to 4.00pm Mon – Fri) for the full academic year.

We are interested in applications from:

You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children (we can help you get one) and 2 references covering the past two years. Most importantly, you need a caring, dedicated and professional approach to working with young children with special educational needs.
