Date: September 2026 - December 2026 1 Term Full-time, Term-time only We are currently working with a welcoming secondary school in Greenwich who are seeking a caring and proactive Pastoral Support Officer to join their team in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with secondary school experience looking to make a positive impact in a secondary setting.

The Role As a Pastoral Support Officer you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development of Year 8 and Year 9 students.

Working closely with the Head of Year, SENCO, and safeguarding team, you’ll help ensure every student feels supported, understood, and ready to learn.

Your responsibilities will include: Providing day-to-day pastoral support to Year 8 and 9 students.

Building positive relationships with students to promote good behaviour, attendance, and engagement.

Supporting students with social, emotional, and wellbeing needs, and signposting additional help where required.

Meeting with parents, carers, and external agencies to discuss student progress or concerns.

Assisting with behaviour monitoring, attendance tracking, and record keeping.

Contributing to whole-school initiatives that support inclusion and student wellbeing.

Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistent pastoral support across the year groups.

The school are looking for a pastoral support office with the following: Experience working in a secondary school or other educational setting.

Pastoral or student support experience is desirable but not essential.

An empathetic, patient approach with the ability to communicate confidently with young people.
