A warm and welcoming community primary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Primary Music Teacher to join their team from September on a part-time basis.
The Role
This exciting opportunity involves teaching Music across the primary age range, from Reception to Year 6, over three days per week. The role is designed to provide PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover for class teachers, with the Music curriculum delivered to all year groups across the school. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a broad, inspiring, and progressive Music curriculum that supports pupils in developing their musical skills, creativity, and confidence.
In addition to class-based teaching, the Music Teacher will:
- Coordinate and oversee peripatetic instrumental tuition where applicable
- Lead whole-school singing assemblies
- Run and develop extracurricular music clubs such as choir or instrumental ensembles
- Organise and support performances, seasonal events, and musical showcases throughout the school year
This is a long-term position, starting in September and continuing through to July 2027.
