As a key member of the school office team, the Welfare Officer will ensure pupils receive prompt and effective medical care, support attendance processes, and assist with day-to-day school operations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid and welfare support to pupils
  • Manage and report accidents, injuries, and medical incidents
  • Liaise with parents/carers regarding pupil health and wellbeing
  • Monitor and record pupil attendance and punctuality
  • Maintain medical and welfare records using SIMS
  • Support the school’s safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as required
  • Coordinate emergency medical care when necessary
Candidate Requirements:
  • At least 3 months’ experience working in a school setting
  • A valid First Aid qualification (paediatric or First Aid at work)
  • Confident using SIMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, caring, and professional manner
  • Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undertake training
