A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Lambeth. This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about working with young children and enjoys creating a fun, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.

The Role

  • As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be based in the Nursery, working closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, creative, and stimulating learning experiences.
  • Encouraging children’s curiosity, independence, and love of learning through play-based activities.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion, and social development in a nurturing environment.
  • Observing and assessing children’s progress and contributing to regular reporting and planning discussions.
  • Assisting with day-to-day classroom routines, ensuring the classroom remains safe, welcoming, and inspiring.

The School

This popular and friendly primary school is situated in a diverse, residential area of Lambeth. You will join a friendly and established staff who enjoy working with a range of pupils and supporting all pupils to make progress. There is a dynamic and dedicated leadership team in place at the school and there are excellent opportunities for career development.

This role is offered on a full-time, contract basis from April 2026 to the end of the academic year. If you are available and interested in a long-term Teaching Assistant role for the summer term, please apply ASAP.
