A large, welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Merton is seeking a qualified Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will take on full class teaching responsibilities within Key Stage 1, supporting pupils at a crucial stage in their early learning and development. Pupils are well settled, enthusiastic, and eager to learn, and the role offers the opportunity to build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social development.

You will work closely with the KS1 year group team and senior leaders, with planning frameworks and resources already in place. The class may include pupils with Special Educational Needs, and support from experienced Teaching Assistants will be provided where appropriate.

The role requires strong classroom organisation, a nurturing and patient approach, and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment. Confidence in delivering creative, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum and phonics framework is essential.

The school welcomes applications from qualified Primary Teachers with previous KS1 teaching experience. A secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum, phonics, and early assessment practices is essential, alongside a positive, flexible, and collaborative approach to teaching.
