A lovely Catholic primary school in Roehampton is looking for an Intervention Teacher 2-3 days a week to start ASAP.
The RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for planning and leading a range of interventions and nurture groups for pupils in Year 1. You will lead interventions in Maths and English with small groups of children who require additional support in key areas, as well as those who are Gifted and Talented, to ensure all students are supported to achieve their potential. You will have the advantage of working with two full-time experienced and supportive teachers within the Y1 cohort to plan and prepare appropriate sessions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary teacher who would like a change from class teaching.
Requirements- QTS and at least 1 year’s teaching experience in a primary school (ECT 1)
- A creative approach with the ability to provide fun and stimulating lessons
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate
- A commitment to each child making progress academically, socially, and spiritually
- An open and sympathetic approach to working within a Catholic primary school
