A welcoming primary school in Harlow is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join its team from September. This full-time Primary Teacher role is open to teachers with experience across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. The school is happy to consider Early Career Teachers as well as experienced primary teachers, with the year group matched to the successful candidate’s strengths and experience.
The Primary Teacher Role
- Planning and delivering lessons in line with the primary national curriculum
- Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting lessons where necessary
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers
- Contributing to staff meetings, training and wider school activities
- Following safeguarding policies and school procedures
The successful candidate will join a supportive staff team and receive guidance from experienced senior leaders.
Primary Teacher Requirements
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status
- Has experience teaching within EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Can plan creative, engaging and well-structured lessons
- Has effective classroom and behaviour-management skills
- Can assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Is organised, reliable and committed to pupil development
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
- Is available to start in September
- Can commit to a full-time, long-term position
