In this English Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will support pupils across KS2 through a combination of classroom support and targeted English interventions. You will work closely with class teachers to help raise attainment and build pupils’ confidence in literacy, reading, writing, and comprehension.

You will deliver small group and 1:1 intervention sessions for pupils working below expected levels, as well as those capable of achieving greater depth. Teachers will provide guidance, planning, and resources, while you support pupils in developing core English skills, vocabulary, comprehension, spelling, grammar, and written communication.

The role will also include supporting teaching and learning within the classroom, assisting pupils during lessons, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The school is looking for an English graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant with strong literacy skills and a passion for supporting children’s learning and academic progress. This role is offered on a full-time ongoing contract basis with either an immediate or September start.
