A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham is seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator to join their Reception team on a part-time basis from September 2026.
The Role
This is a part-time opportunity, working 2 to 3 days per week, with the specific working days agreed upon appointment to suit both the successful candidate and the school. You will join a well-established Early Years team within the school’s Reception provision, working closely with the class teacher and other practitioners to create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of high-quality, play-based learning activities
- Promoting children’s progress across all areas of the EYFS curriculum
- Delivering early phonics sessions and supporting children’s early language and literacy development
- Leading small group activities and contributing to whole-class carpet sessions
- Observing, assessing and recording children’s learning and development
The school is looking for someone with a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young children to thrive.
