Do you enjoy working with young people aged 11 – 18? Have you considered working in Secondary Schools as a Cover Supervisor? We are working with a range of Secondary Schools across London who are looking for confident, professional and dedicated people to work as Cover Supervisors in their schools to provide short-term and daily cover for teachers.

As a Cover Supervisor you will work in secondary schools covering classes and ensuring students are working on tasks whilst teachers are absent or engaged in other activities and meetings. This is a key role within secondary schools and almost every secondary school will engage cover supervisors to allow teachers.

This is a great opportunity to work on a flexible basis and gain experience within secondary schools. Cover Supervisors are required for the full school day - 8.30am to 3.30pm (approx.).

Flexible work options:

  • Most Cover Supervisors begin work on a short-term/supply basis. This is ideal if you just want to work a few days in local schools, or want to build experience within the secondary school sector.
  • For more experienced Cover Supervisors, we have full-time contracts available.

What do I need to be a Cover Supervisor?

You do not need any formal qualifications to be a Cover Supervisor, but we do require you to have had some experience working with 11 – 18-year-olds.

Cover Supervisor work is ideal for:

You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children and 2 references covering the past two years. If you haven't got a DBS, we can help you apply for one from the UK Disclosure and Barring Service.
