Our client, a well-established further education college in North London, is seeking an experienced Counselling Lecturer to deliver Level 3 Counselling courses across multiple campuses. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and passionate counselling professional to join a supportive teaching team and make a meaningful impact on learners preparing for careers in counselling and helping professions.
Teaching Schedule
- Monday: 9:00am β 3:00pm: Enfield Campus; 4:15pm β 9:00pm: Tottenham Green Campus
- Tuesday: 1:00pm β 4:00pm: Tottenham Green Campus; 4:30pm β 8:00pm: Finsbury Park Campus
- Wednesday: 9:30am β 3:00pm: Tottenham Green Campus; 5:00pm β 9:00pm: Finsbury Park Campus
- Thursday: 9:00am β 5:00pm: Finsbury Park Campus
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to Level 3 Counselling students.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessment activities in line with the curriculum.
- Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
- Support students in developing counselling skills, theoretical understanding and ethical awareness.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to curriculum development where required.
- Ensure compliance with awarding body and college quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body qualification.
- Experience teaching Counselling at Level 3 within further education or adult education.
- Strong knowledge of counselling theory, ethics and skills practice.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
