A lovely, well-organised primary school in Southwark is looking for an experienced school administrator to take responsibility for general office duties and safeguarding.

Job role

In this role you will be based in the school office and be required to undertake a range of administrative duties and provide medical and welfare support to pupils as required.

As the school administration officer your role will include:

  • Dealing with visitor and parents queries and questions
  • Providing first-aid, initial medical care to pupils as required.
  • Reporting accidents/incidents and contacting parents/carers.
  • Coordinate emergency care.
  • General admin tasks and any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Office Manager or school business manager.
  • Support school stock management, ordering and monitoring.
  • Supporting finance procedures, recording dinner monies and trip monies – manage ParentPay.
  • Daily use of Word, Excel and SIMS.

The school are looking for an administrator who has:

  • Previous experience in a school office
  • Knowledge of SIMS and Microsoft
  • A valid first aid qualification.
  • GCSE in English and Maths grade c or above
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Have a friendly and calm approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding children
  • Willingness to undertake further training

Additional training will be provided where necessary.

The school are offering the role as a contract basis initially.
