The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will
- Support students with SEND both within the classroom and through small group or one-to-one interventions.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual student needs.
- Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence.
- Promote positive behaviour and support the school's behaviour policy.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND team and external professionals.
- Assist with monitoring student progress and recording observations.
- Provide pastoral support and help create a safe, positive learning environment.
- Support students during breaktimes, educational visits and school activities where required.
