Based at our London Berkeley Square gallery, the Core Client Strategy Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting Phillips' client strategy function, focusing on client processing, research, and database management for core sales. We are seeking a business-minded intern to support client strategy workflows across Modern & Contemporary Art, Editions, Design, and Jewels in both London and New York. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to key operational functions at a pivotal moment for the department. You will work closely with the Client Strategy and Client Insights teams to support internal client management.
The role involves a variety of administrative and reporting responsibilities, requiring proficiency in Excel and the ability to quickly learn internal systems and CRM software. The intern will work closely with Auction Administration, while also supporting event processing and regional campaign initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to combine a strong interest in art with commercial and strategic experience within a leading international auction house. Duties and ResponsibilitiesYou will be involved in a variety of tasks supporting internal client management for Core Client Strategy, including but not limited to:
- Auction Support: Assist with post-sale client strategy processing, ensuring data accuracy, supporting relationship management, and identifying HNW prospects.
- Client Research: Support research and data gathering to inform internal client strategy and management decisions.
- Client Management: Use internal CRM tools and Excel to generate reports that aid client management and analysis of client activity.
- Automated Campaigns: Prepare and clean reports for use in automated campaigns across London and New York.
- Event Management: Organise and reconcile data for ROI reporting and targeted sale follow-up actions.
- Prospect Targeting: Assist in creating client profiles to support sales targeting initiatives.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth departmental workflows.
- File Management: Support digital filing, document management, and internal systems organisation.
- Confidentiality: Handle confidential and sensitive client information with utmost discretion.
Proficient in Excel with the ability to quickly learn internal systems; knowledge of HubSpot is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational skills, with a focus on maintaining data integrity. Ability to handle multiple tasks while consistently meeting deadlines. Proactive attitude with a passion for learning and teamwork. Comfortable working collaboratively across departments and supporting diverse teams.
Education and TrainingGraduate in Business, Arts Management, Cultural Studies, or related field; additional qualifications in business management are desirable. A background or interest in Auction, Art History, or luxury sectors is a plus. Previous experience in office or professional settings is beneficial but not required.

Working ConditionsWork will primarily take place at our Berkeley Square office location, with flexibility for occasional evening and weekend hours depending on department needs.
