Phillips Law was formed in 1986, and since then we have been committed to building the region’s strongest, dynamic, full‑service law firm built on foundations of traditional values. In 2026 we continue to be featured in the Legal 500 – a globally recognised legal directory that serves as a comprehensive guide for clients seeking premium legal services. At Phillips Law our values mean we pull in the same direction, tell it like it is, do the right thing, break the mould, and deliver on our goals.

We are looking to appoint a talented and commercially minded Corporate Solicitor with 3‑6 years’ PQE to join our Corporate team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high‑quality corporate transactions for a varied client base, including owner‑managed businesses, corporates, and investors, with increasing responsibility and client exposure.

The corporate team is led by two partners and two legal directors, all of whom trained and practised at leading City firms and bring deep technical expertise across a broad range of transactional work. The senior lawyers work closely with the wider team, creating an environment where junior lawyers benefit from high‑quality City‑style work and direct partner exposure. The team is supported by two associates and a paralegal, offering opportunities for a junior lawyer looking to build strong foundations, take on responsibility early, and progress in a collaborative and ambitious practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and reorganisations, and joint ventures.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key transaction documentation, including share and asset purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and articles of association.
  • Managing transactions from instruction through to completion, with appropriate supervision.
  • Undertaking and coordinating legal due diligence exercises.
  • Providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice to clients.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supporting partners on complex matters and contributing to large‑scale transactions.
  • Supervising, supporting, and mentoring junior solicitors, paralegals, and trainees.
  • Participating in business development activities, including client pitches, networking, and profile‑raising initiatives.
