We are looking to welcome an experienced Solicitor into our Wills, Trusts & Probate team.
This is a key role within the department, providing high-quality legal advice and managing a varied caseload of private client matters, while contributing to the continued growth and success of the team.

The Wills, Trusts & Probate team
Our team provides expert, sensitive and client‑focused advice on a broad range of private client matters including Wills, Estate Planning, the creation and administration of Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, preparing and submitting applications for Grants of Probate, and ongoing estate administration.
We are known for building long‑term client relationships, often supporting multiple generations of families.

- What you’ll be doing
- Advising clients on all aspects of wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts, probate, and estate administration
- Managing a varied caseload independently, including complex and high‑value estates
- Drafting a wide range of legal documents including wills, lasting powers of attorney, deeds of variation, and trust documentation
- Managing probate applications and the full administration of estates from initial instruction through to distribution
- Advising on and administering trusts, including trust creation, registration, and ongoing compliance requirements
- Providing clear, empathetic and practical advice to clients, including vulnerable or bereaved individuals
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, anti‑money laundering (AML) obligations, client care standards, and GDPR requirements
- Maintaining accurate file management, time recording and billing practices
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
- Actively contributing to business development, networking and strengthening relationships within the local community
To be successful for this position, you must have / be
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years PQE in Private Client law.
- Strong technical experience in Wills, Probate matters, Inheritance Tax planning, and Trust matters.
- Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently, including complex matters.
- Excellent knowledge of probate procedure, tax implications, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
- High level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
- Professional, empathetic and client‑focused approach.
- Experience advising on high‑net‑worth estates or complex tax planning matters (desirable). STEP qualification (or working towards) (desirable)
- Member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (desirable).
- Familiarity with LEAP or similar case management systems (desirable).
- Experience contributing to business development initiatives (desirable).
