The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our HP Indigo 5500 digital press, ensuring all jobs are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Working as part of a busy production team, you will play a key role in delivering customer orders on time and maintaining our reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor digital print equipment.
- Ensure all jobs are produced to customer specifications and company quality standards.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning procedures.
- Monitor print quality and colour consistency throughout production runs.
- Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime.
- Manage workloads effectively to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Work closely with our pre‑press and finishing departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate production records where required.
- Ensure a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Applicants should ideally hold a minimum HP Indigo Level 2 qualification.
- Previous experience operating HP Indigo presses within a commercial print environment, including the HP Indigo 5500.
- A strong understanding of print quality standards and colour management.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- HP Indigo Level 3 qualification or a formal qualification in Print Production.
