We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join a well-established accountancy practice based in Richmond. This is a hands-on role within a busy audit team, requiring someone who can manage assignments from planning through to completion with a high degree of technical competence and minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit assignments across a varied portfolio of clients
- Prepare and review financial statements to a high technical standard
- Use Caseware to manage audit files, documentation, and reporting
- Supervise and support junior members of the audit team
- Liaise directly with clients, building strong professional relationships
- Ensure compliance with UK auditing standards (ISAs UK) and relevant regulations
- Report findings clearly and professionally to managers and partners
Essential Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist), trained in the UK
- Audit experience gained within a Top 20 accountancy firm, with a solid tenure in that environment
- Strong working knowledge of Caseware
- Proven ability to prepare and construct financial statements independently
- Sound understanding of UK GAAP and FRS 102
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
Desirable:
- Experience across a range of sectors and entity sizes
- Exposure to group audit work or consolidations
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
