We are supporting an accountancy practice based in the Borehamwood area to recruit for a Junior Accountant. To apply for this position, you will need to have prior experience within an accountancy practice and be studying towards your professional qualification ACCA or ACA or equivalent. Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Support: Assist in preparing draft accounts, management accounts, and KPIs for diverse SME clients.
  • Bookkeeping: Handle data entry, reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Compliance: Ensure clients comply with HMRC and Companies House regulations, including preparing and submitting CT600s and VAT returns.
  • Client Interaction: Attend client meetings, respond to queries, and provide high-quality support.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and team members, sharing knowledge and supporting projects.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and career prospects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 1-2 years in an accounting practice with a strong grasp of accounting principles.
  • Education: Currently studying towards either ACCA or ACA qualification.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
