General Description: PCA Global Ventures, LLC, the global leader in specialized deceased account care, compliant recovery services, technology-driven debt settlement solutions, and strategic acquisition servicing the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer. We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing innovation team. In this role, you'll design, develop, deploy, and support microservice-based applications that power critical business services. You'll work closely with fellow developers and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and improving software delivery processes. Success will be measured by timely and successful delivery of migration and modernization initiatives, smooth cutovers with minimal operational impact and improved system stability.
Responsibilities:
- Build Automated Services: Design and deploy robust background worker services, scheduled tasks, and event-driven automation.
- Develop Custom APIs: Architect, build, and document secure, scalable RESTful Web APIs using ASP.NET Core.
- Integrate Ecosystems: Connect internal MS SQL databases with external third-party cloud services and vendor APIs.
- Optimize Databases: Write clean, efficient T-SQL queries, manage stored procedures, and optimize database performance and indexing.
- Future-Proof UI: Ensure all backend systems and APIs are decoupled and built to easily support a frontend framework as part of a future phase.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain technical documentation. Experience creating clear API documentation using Swagger / OpenAPI.
- Planning: Contribute to technology and platform roadmaps.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Backend Stack: 5+ years of experience with C#, .NET Core / .NET 8+, and ASP.NET Core Web API.
- Database Mastery: Advanced proficiency with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools like Entity Framework Core.
