Basic Function
The Heavy Oils Operator is responsible for leading the execution of complex Heavies feedstock and fuel movements in support of Phillips 66’s global Heavy Oils obligations and commercial trading activities across the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region.
- Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end scheduling and operational ownership of supply chains, including marine imports/exports, blending operations, regulatory coordination, and intermodal distribution.
- Own monthly planning, tank allocation, stock sequencing for Heavy Oils movements, coordinating with Trading, Supply, terminals, and other relevant stakeholders to deliver robust, commercially optimised plans.
- Integrate new storage locations into the wider European network and support the development of new supply routes, customers, and arbitrage opportunities in partnership with Trading.
- Responsible for managing planned movements and promptly inputting movement data into the Trading System, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity.
Using data to inform decisions & identify inefficiencies.
- Create material value for P66 through optimisation of trading execution, reduction of operational costs, and minimisation of execution & compliance risk.
- Be seen as a senior point of contact with internal and external customers on operational requirements and resolving any associated issues
- Support and, where required, lead implementation of corporate, compliance, and regulatory initiatives, including sustainability reporting, tax requirements, REACH, and document retention standards.
- Drive the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures across Heavy Oils operations.
- Mentor and support less experienced operators in the wider Operations team and provide cover when required
