We are looking for an Engineer, Data & Automation to support our business transformation initiatives by designing and implementing data-driven and automation solutions. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, data quality, and decision-making across the organisation by bridging business needs and technical execution. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, translating pain points into scalable data or automation solutions, and building reliable data pipelines and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business pain points, requirements, and process gaps
- Propose and implement data-driven or automation solutions, including dashboards, scripts, workflow automation, and API integrations
- Design, build, and enhance ETL pipelines to support reporting, analytics, and downstream automation
- Maintain and improve data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and proper documentation
- Apply data architecture and analytics principles to solve real-world business problems
- Support ongoing improvements in data quality, governance, and operational reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Automation Engineer, or similar role, preferably within a data-centric or transformation-focused environment
- Strong programming skills in Python (experience with Java or Scala is an advantage)
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, data architecture, and analytics concepts
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
