Overview
As a Clinical Scientist MR, you will support European research collaborations and help shape Philips MRI products.
You work with a cross-site team to drive MR research, interact with academic and clinical partners, and present findings to diverse audiences.
You will contribute to MR methods development, training, and knowledge sharing to advance Philips’ MRI capabilities.
This field-based role offers the chance to influence product development and patient outcomes within a collaborative European network.

Responsibilities
- Manage research collaborations with Philips across partner sites and coordinate research agreements with legal teams
- Provide scientific leadership in MR as part of the Europe Clinical Science team
- Manage customer expectations and harvest knowledge to benefit Philips; liaise between local sites and international luminary networks
- Interact with Clinical Scientists, academics and clinical staff to offer first-line research support on customer sites
- Contribute to academic papers and participate in MR projects including methods development and clinical research
- Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and represent their perspectives within Philips
- Maintain knowledge of roadmap and research developments to support sales, and assist with technical demonstrations and customer visits
- Assist in delivering clinical training programs (Applications training, technical presentations, vendor portfolio presentations)
- Assist in local troubleshooting by liaising with Engineering/Applications
- Communicate the value of Philips MR Clinical Science to the wider Precision Diagnosis team
- Operate as part of a field-based, internationally connected clinical science community
- Report to the Clinical Science Lead in Europe–North and liaise with the UK&I MR team
- Key requirements
- Ph. D. in a relevant technical field with MR focus
- Doctoral thesis or publications on MR topics
- Curious and passionate about Magnetic Resonance
- Interest in working in a clinical environment
- Programming experience preferable
- Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally abroad
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work remotely
- Strong interpersonal skills with customers and cross-department collaboration
- Proven ability to present scientific and clinical information to varied audiences
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
