Working closely with internal partners and external suppliers to develop and implement strategic commodity plans at the lowest total cost to meet the defined requirements within the Procurement function.
The scope covers several commodities within Mechanical Parts and Assemblies for different Philips sites globally. Accountability for overall supplier relationship management in the portfolio including overall cost down, supplier performance, contracting and scouting.
This Role has a strategical importance to the Personal Health business with focus on Male Grooming products.
You are responsible for
- Relationship with Suppliers and delivering strategic impact through Supplier Strategy Development;
- Understanding the full business relationship of the Supplier, its position in the market relative to others, and its strategy, investment themes and capabilities;
- Managing Supplier performance scorecard using the Global Supplier Rating System and enriching it with cross-functional stakeholder feedback/calibration;
- Developing, based on Category, business and supplier strategy, an aligned account strategy for the supply relationship, clearly defining areas of development such as performance, cost and feature competitiveness improvement, relevant future (and innovative) business opportunities and a contract that enables such execution;
- Applying oversight and monitoring of agreed projects being executed in the business by securing close alignment between supplier, Procurement Business Partner and business;
- Orchestrating Supplier related activities and communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure one consistent Supplier approach;
- Relentlessly driving impact to the bottom and top line through Supplier;
- Utilizing negotiation factory standards (e.g. Game Theory, Nego Booklets) and actively promoting Supplier Development program;
- Implementing defined negotiation roadmap, target setting and business reviews;
- Managing the competition in the supply base to secure a healthy tension between suppliers to foster cost and feature innovation;
- Driving compliance, contract and risk management;
- Conducting assessments to identify and manage critical supplier parameters on a continuous basis covering risk, regulatory compliance, financial exposure and related liabilities (and creating corresponding mitigation and contingency plans with business continuity in mind);
- Ensuring full compliance regarding sustainability and regulatory requirements;
- Ensuring all contracts and RFX events are properly managed in contract and RFX management systems (e.g. source2contract), following defined processes, policies and guidelines.
You are part of
Our Global Procurement Organization, CC Mechanical Parts and Assemblies. Direct report to the Global Category Manager. The position is located in Drachten.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
- Mechanical/Engineering background – Mandatory.
- Fluent English, German is an advantage.
- Experience in managing projects and supplier strategic accounts;
- Business acumen – understanding the business needs, being able to reflect those needs, making sure the company gets the best from these vendors;
- Technical mind and technical orientation. Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand the business requirements.
- Understanding of mechanical manufacturing process.
- Being a result-driven and able to drive changes;
- Being curious, creative, organized, committed to deadlines, self-driven, eager to learn and to challenge status quo;
- Experience in working in international cross-functional teams;
- Process-oriented person with the ability to make improvements;
