We are looking for an Engineering Leader to shape how we design, build, and deliver digital experiences across Pregnancy+, the world's most trusted pregnancy app. You will report directly to the Business Leader for Worry-Free Parenting, playing a pivotal role in aligning engineering, product, and design functions to accelerate value delivery for millions of users worldwide. You will lead a distributed engineering organisation, primarily based in India, while working closely with leadership and product teams in Europe. Your focus will be on creating the right environment for high-quality, high-velocity development, defining how we operate today, envisioning how we need to operate tomorrow, and driving that transformation through process, tooling, and measurement. You will champion AI-enabled engineering, ensuring we leverage modern technologies to dramatically increase efficiency and consistency across releases.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and empower a distributed engineering organisation.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Management and Design teams to maintain synergy across disciplines, reducing time-to-market and increasing value-to-market.
- Evaluate and evolve engineering processes, tools, and practices to improve speed, quality, and scalability.
- Establish and monitor clear KPIs and delivery metrics that measure performance, predictability, and quality.
- Drive organisational change through influence and structure, embedding best practices and accountability across teams.
- Partner with product and engineering leaders to foster engagement, alignment, and consistent delivery outcomes.
- Identify and implement modern tools and frameworks that enhance delivery pipelines, testing, and release management.
- Champion the integration of AI and automation to optimise workflows and increase developer productivity.
- Foster a culture of transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement across the engineering organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience managing or leading engineering teams, ideally within consumer digital or mobile products.
- Strong understanding of mobile development principles, architecture, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
- Proven track record of leading engineering transformation and improving organisational efficiency.
- Experience managing distributed or remote teams, ideally across time zones.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a product-led organisation, collaborating closely with Product and Design to deliver user value.
- Ability to define and monitor KPIs that connect engineering outcomes to business results.
- Enthusiasm for AI-enabled engineering, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, GitHub, Firebase, and modern mobile CI/CD frameworks.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
