The Opportunity: More Than Just a Sale
Are you an e-commerce expert who sees the "big picture"? We are looking for a Merchandising Marketing Manager who understands that a great digital experience is built on both sales performance and brand love.
In this dual‑focus role, you won’t just be moving products; you will be the architect of the consumer experience on our owned branded channel. You will balance marketing storytelling with commercial data to ensure that when a consumer visits us, they don’t just see a product—they find a solution that improves their health and well‑being. You will act as a thought partner to Marketing, Commercial, and Digital leaders, shaping our Consumer Direct strategy for one of Europe’s most iconic health technology brands, across 17 countries and 14 e‑commerce stores.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
- Elevate the Consumer Experience
- Own the narrative: Define how the European category strategy translates into the Consumer Direct channel and drive and organize digital journeys to effectively showcase our brand vision and flagship strategy.
- Drive discovery and loyalty: Partner closely with SEO/GEO, CRM and Consumer Care teams to make Philips the first choice for consumers throughout the consumer’s entire experience.
- Optimize through insight: Analyze how consumers move through our site and run A/B tests to continuously improve engagement, conversion, and average basket value.
- Brief and coordinate content: Collaborate with European Marketing and digital teams to ensure propositions are represented with precision and creativity across all digital touchpoints — from on‑site content to full‑funnel paid media.
- Own the digital shelf: Take full responsibility for the performance of specific Personal Health categories/propositions within the European Consumer Direct team.
- Inventory & Planning: Collaborate with merchandising planning who is responsible for ensuring we have the right products in stock at the right time.
- Execute with impact: Brief and run digital campaigns (for own category and cross‑category), using data to make sharp recommendations for future growth.
- Promotional Strategy: Identify and launch promotional activities that drive incremental sales while safeguarding profitability and long‑term sustainable growth.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all product details—from pricing and categorization to upsell opportunities and content—are accurate and optimized for conversion at all times.
- Lead initiatives that drive operational excellence and process improvement across categories and markets, leaving a last footprint beyond your own portfolio.

The Consumer Direct (D2C) team in the market Europe Personal Health (PH) organization. This team is responsible for the transformation and innovation in the Personal Health business of market Europe. We have a virtual, diverse network organization, with passionate colleagues who are energized to fulfil our purpose of improving people’s health and well‑being through meaningful innovation, whilst always delighting consumers via outstanding consumer engagement and digital strategies.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Experience & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in e‑commerce and/or digital marketing, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to manage and grow a (digital) category or brand in consumer goods space or e‑retail environment.
- Track record of influencing cross‑functional stakeholders and translating commercial strategy into digital execution.
- Comfortable with e‑commerce metrics (conversion, basket value, bounce rate, LTV) and able to turn data into sharp, decisive actions.
- Hands‑on experience with digital media, content briefing, and (full‑funnel) campaign execution.
- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks, Paid Media, Subscription business models.
- Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset — you respond quickly to change and thrive in fast‑moving environments.
- Strong collaborator who can challenge, inspire, and align cross‑functional teams around consumer‑led decisions.
- Clear communicator who translates complexity into actionable direction for both commercial and marketing audiences.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office‑based teams, this means working in‑person at least 3 days per week. This position can be based in our office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Suresnes France or Farnborough UK.
