We are seeking a People Engagement &Communications Officer to join our team at Bourne Education Trust.
Our new colleague will play a key role in enhancing employee engagement and fostering a positive work environment by organising employee engagement events. Working closely with our marketing team the People Engagement &Communications Officer will play a pivotal role in enhancing our collaborative and inclusive culture.
Based predominately at our Central Team office at Jubilee High School you will be joining a group of creative and dedicated education experts and industry specialists. Bourne Education Trust is a forwardâthinking organisation whose mission is to transform schools and change lives.

Position: People Engagement and Communications Officer
Location: Jubilee High School, Addlestone KT15 1TE (travel to other Trust sites may be required)
Contract: Permanent, full time (36 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum)

Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, create and coordinate captivating employee engagement campaigns and events (e.g. induction sessions, employee voice forums, and recognition programmes), ensuring they are branded, wellâpromoted, and visually compelling
- Work with the People and Marketing Teams to embed creative branding, theming, and promotional strategies into internal events so they foster pride, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging
- Leverage innovative marketing techniques (e.g. digital campaigns, visuals, storytelling) to energise engagement initiatives and ensure maximum visibility and participation
Requirements include:
- An awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
- Experience in marketing, communications or creative campaigns within an office or education environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written, verbal and visual â able to craft clear, compelling, and creative messaging for varied audiences
- Experience creating engaging visual, video or multimedia content
