Twickenham School is a high‑performing mixed secondary school for students aged 11‑16 in Twickenham, south west London. Position Details

  • Position: Head of Year
  • Contract: Full‑time, permanent
  • Start Date: 1 September 2026
  • Salary: Teachers Main‑to‑Upper Pay Scale (Outer London) £37,868 – 56,154 + TLR2b of £5,641

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the achievement, progress and pastoral provision for a year group of students
  • Have responsibility for the strategic overview of the year group, including self‑evaluation and the improvement plan for the year group
  • Monitor student progress including attendance, achievement and behaviour

Requirements

  • Demonstrated awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  • Evidence of effective continuous professional development
  • Experience coordinating a subject
