Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Maths teacher with the skills to lead a dedicated team? Do you thrive in a small, inclusive school where every student is known, supported, and challenged to succeed?
We are seeking a confident and committed Head of Maths to join our close-knit school community on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a well-established department with passionate staff, in a school where relationships, inclusion, and high standards sit at the heart of everything we do.
About the Department
The Mathematics Department comprises six members of staff, plus a teacher degree apprentice. Pupils study the Pearson Edexcel (9 to 1) syllabus, with opportunities to take other qualifications such as AQA Further Mathematics and Functional Skills Exams to prepare for their post-16 study.
We are part of Axiom Maths Circle enabling students to work through a structured curriculum of challenging problems, exposing them to maths from outside the National Curriculum that stretches them beyond what they\\\’d encounter at school.
