We are seeking an English Teacher (Second in Charge) to join our team at Everest Community Academy, part of Bourne Education Trust.

Position: Teacher – English Specialist (Second in Charge)

Contract: Full‑time, permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Teachers Main to Upper Pay Scale (National- Hampshire) ÂŁ32,916-ÂŁ51,048 + TLR

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure excellent standards of teaching & learning across the subject
  • Support Head of Department with the strategic overview of the department, including self‑evaluation and the improvement plan for the department
  • In collaboration with Head of Department, monitor student progress and implement strategic intervention for the department

Requirements include:

  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
