We are looking for a Product Group Architect B2B to define, govern and evolve the technology architecture that enables our global B2B capabilities. This role will ensure the B2B technology landscape remains stable, secure and fit for purpose, while delivering scalable, integrated and compliant solutions aligned with PMI's global technology standards.
The Product Group Architect B2B will shape the technical vision and roadmap across B2B commerce, retailer engagement, field force automation and execution, CRM, master data, integration, security and related platforms. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the role will translate market and business needs into architecture strategies, solution designs, technology roadmaps and governance frameworks.
The successful candidate will drive simplification and standardisation across the technology estate, promoting reuse, resilience and operational excellence while ensuring solutions are secure, supportable, cost-effective and capable of supporting future business growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and maintain the future roadmap for B2B capabilities, aligned with market priorities and the global Indirect Experience strategy.
- Establish architectural guidance for PMI’s current and future B2B technology stack, balancing continuity, modernisation and future-state design.
- Provide architecture direction across global B2B applications, retailer engagement solutions, B2B Commerce, field force automation and execution, CRM and integration capabilities.
- Translate emerging business requirements into architecture designs, solution options, decision records, non-functional requirements and implementation guardrails.
- Ensure current and future solutions leverage global platforms and reusable patterns, with clear documentation and governance of any local deviations.
- Partner with product, delivery, engineering, security, data, integration, service management and business teams to shape scalable, secure and supportable solutions.
- Drive future landscape simplification, reuse, stronger integration patterns, technical debt reduction and alignment with PMI technology governance.
- Promote modern engineering practices, DevSecOps, observability, automation and responsible AI or GenAI adoption as the capability matures.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in technology, including 5+ years in Solution, or Product Architecture roles.
- Strong understanding of B2B business processes and platforms, including retailer/distributor engagement, e-commerce, CRM, field force automation and order-to-cash.
- Proven Salesforce architecture expertise, with experience across multiple Salesforce products and ecosystems.
- Experience designing and delivering integrations between Salesforce, commerce and enterprise platforms using APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures or similar integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of application, data and integration architecture, with a solid understanding of security, resilience, observability and DevSecOps principles.
- Experience defining target architectures, technology roadmaps, transition states, architectural guardrails and non-functional requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence business, product, engineering and leadership teams.
- Pragmatic and outcomes-focused, able to balance business priorities, technical quality and enterprise standards.
- Familiarity with architecture governance practices and tools, Architecture Review Boards (ARBs), Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and architecture repositories.

- Experience with composable, modular or product-centric architecture approaches.
- Experience delivering and governing B2B technology solutions across multiple markets or global organisations.
- Exposure to AI-enabled capabilities and the responsible adoption of GenAI within commercial processes and customer engagement.
