Role Description

Philip Jones Legal is seeking an experienced Level 2 Senior Caseworker (IAAS Accredited / Law Society) to join our nationally recognised Asylum & Human Rights Department. Based in Hatch End, Harrow, our practice operates nationally and is widely recognised for representing some of the most vulnerable individuals within the immigration and detention system. As trusted duty lawyers for detainees, our work sits at the forefront of asylum, detention, and human rights protection.

This role offers the opportunity to undertake meaningful and impactful work, including:

  • Managing complex asylum and protection claims
  • Preparing and progressing appeal casework
  • Bail applications for detained individuals

We are seeking organised, diligent and compassionate professionals with strong case management skills and a demonstrable commitment to protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals. Ideal candidates will have experience working with detained persons, victims of trafficking and modern slavery, survivors of torture and domestic violence, and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of Solicitors, Advisers and Caseworkers committed to tenaciously defending the rights of those most vulnerable in society and holding the Secretary of State to account where legal duties are not met. Candidates must be able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining the highest standards of client care, professionalism and legal representation.
