As the Chief Communications Officer for our client, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our communication strategies to enhance brand reputation, drive stakeholder engagement, and support business objectives globally. Based in their London office, you will lead a talented team of communication professionals, collaborating closely with executives, business units, and regional teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across various channels.
Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with corporate objectives, ensuring consistency with brand identity and messaging across all channels.
Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and manage crisis communications effectively.
Executive Communication: Provide strategic counsel and support to senior leadership, including preparation of speeches, presentations, and talking points for public appearances and media engagements.
Internal Communication: Develop internal communication strategies and initiatives to foster employee engagement, alignment, and understanding of corporate goals and values.
Brand Management: Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure alignment with corporate values and market trends, leveraging insights to enhance brand reputation and differentiation.
Content Development: Lead the creation and distribution of compelling content, including press releases, articles, social media posts, and multimedia materials, to engage target audiences and drive brand awareness.
Digital Communication: Drive digital communication strategies, leveraging online platforms, social media, and digital tools to amplify brand presence, engage stakeholders, and monitor online reputation.
Government Affairs: Collaborate with government affairs teams to develop communication strategies that support regulatory initiatives, advocacy efforts, and legislative priorities.
Measurement and Analytics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Budget Management: Manage communication budgets effectively, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI and achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; Master\’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate communications, preferably within the energy sector or related industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling ability.
- Demonstrated expertise in media relations, crisis communications, and executive communication.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute communication plans aligned with business objectives.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management and analytics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of global energy markets, regulatory environment, and sustainability trends is a plus.
