We are looking for a full-time, on-site Legal Counsel based in London who sees this moment for what it is: the most exciting time in the history of medicine to be a lawyer. Someone who wants to help write the rules of a field that is still being invented.
What you will do:
- Legal Advisory: Be the trusted legal partner to our founders, clinical, commercial, and technology teams. Translate complex legal questions into clear, commercial decisions.
- Data & Privacy: Own our global approach to health data and genomic privacy. UK GDPR, international data transfers, and the frameworks that govern the most sensitive data a human has.
- Commercial: Draft, negotiate, and structure agreements with labs, clinics, scientific partners, technology vendors, and distribution partners across multiple jurisdictions.
- Regulatory: Partner with leadership on MHRA, CQC, and healthcare regulatory strategy as we launch and scale new services.
- AI & Technology: Shape how we responsibly deploy AI, software, and digital health tools in a regulated environment.
- IP & Corporate: Protect the science and the company. Support corporate governance, financings, and strategic transactions as we grow.
Who you are:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent, with an active practising certificate.
- 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or in-house team.
- Exposure to health, life sciences, biotech, or technology law.
- Strong grounding in commercial contracts and data protection (UK GDPR, DPA 2018).
- Comfortable moving fast, making judgement calls, and operating without a playbook.
- Sharp commercial instincts and calm under pressure.
