About Simtec Materials Testing Ltd is an independent materials testing company specialising in asphalt, aggregates, earthworks and concrete testing for the civil engineering, construction and quarrying industries. The Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead our team in Brandon, Suffolk. This is a full‑time, on‑site role responsible for managing daily site testing operations and overseeing laboratory activities. You will ensure all testing work is carried out to the highest standards while leading a skilled technical team and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily site testing operations across multiple projects
  • Manage and support the laboratory testing team
  • Supervise asphalt, concrete and earthworks testing to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate team activities and allocate resources effectively
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Liaise directly with clients, providing technical support and project updates
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance and reporting

About You

We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of materials testing and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. You may already be working as a Site Manager, or you could be a Senior Technician / Supervisor ready to step into a leadership role. Key qualities include strong organisation, communication and the ability to maintain high standards across both site and laboratory operations.
