Building Inspector (pathway from a construction trade)
Locations: Petts Wood (North) & Kingston upon Thames
Salary –Upto £40,000(depending on experience)

The Role
We are looking for individuals with previous on-site experience, possess a Level 3 NVQ in a construction trade and who are interested in developing into a Registered Building Inspector.
Due to our ambition and growth we will consider candidates nationwide to support our regional teams across England. You will receive a structured, support and training plan, attend regular CPD sessions and receive support from your own team to develop under the supervision of experienced Building Inspectors.
Stroma Building Control is one of the largest Registered Building Control Approvers across the country. Boasting a national footprint of more than 14 offices with 150+ qualified surveyors, bringing with it a talented and diverse workforce. Over 70% of our work relates to domestic and residential development and we are seeking candidates with existing knowledge of such projects to become part of our team and work towards becoming a Class 2 Registered Building Inspector.
- Previous experience working in a construction-related trade
- Level 3 NVQ in a construction trade
- The willingness to complete a building control competence route in order to apply foryour registration as a Registered Building Inspector
- To work towards an understanding of relevant legislation, technical guidance, and regulatory Code of Conduct
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to provide an efficient and friendly service to internal and external customers
- Time management skills and the flexibility to undertake all duties required
- Microsoft office knowledge
- Experience in liaising with Building Inspectors to ensure compliance on site
- Experience of assessing and interpreting architectural design plans
