The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands‐on work and has an interest in construction, materials, or laboratory testing. Previous experience in a construction or physical property testing laboratory would be advantageous, but full training will be provided. There are also excellent opportunities for career progression within our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing test results in accordance with documented procedures, standards and specifications.
  • Carrying out testing/sampling activities in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment.
  • Ensuring laboratory equipment is calibrated, safe and suitable for use.
  • Handling materials (soil, concrete, asphalt etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of all customer information obtained or created during laboratory activities.
  • Working within our Red Lab testing facility.

Requirements

  • Experience testing geotechnical or construction materials.
  • Strong oral, written and numeracy skills.
  • Awareness of safe working practices.
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Excel desirable).
  • Good attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Physically fit (role involves manual work, including carrying/moving samples).
