NAPIT is a leading Trade Association and Certification Body, committed to competence, compliance, and customer service in the building services sector. We are currently expanding our Technical Team and are looking for Field Officers across the UK to assess and support our registered members.
The Role:
As a Field Officer, you will conduct assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with Competent Person Schemes (CPS), Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), and Energy Efficiency Measures (PAS 2030: 2023). Your expertise will help registered members meet the highest industry standards while also providing technical support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct compliance assessments and inspections of NAPIT customers.
- Evaluate ongoing approvals for continued registration, improvements, or rejections.
- Plan and undertake a structured schedule of site visits in coordination with the scheduling team.
- Assess new applicants for registration and conduct audits in different geographical areas when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NAPIT members while delivering excellent service.
- Respond to technical queries and provide guidance on industry standards, codes of practice, and British regulations.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety policies and all company policies.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Relevant Heating Qualifications – NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), domestic heating ACS, or OFTEC qualifications. Heat pumps & Biomass.
- Strong technical knowledge of heating systems and British Standards.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills – able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills – confident and professional.
- Full UK driving licence – as travel is a key part of the role.
- Experience as a vocational assessor.
- Qualifications in renewable energy technologies (Heat Pumps, Biomass, or Solar Thermal).
- Membership with professional bodies such as CIBSE or CIPHE.
