Phénicia Conseil, on behalf of an international group, a leader in high-quality and innovative equipment for pleasure boating, commercial marine, and the broader leisure industries (including cycling and fishing), is recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer – UK (m/w) Marine & Leisure Equipment.
Based in Southern England, Full-time, Permanent (CDI). Our client is a long-standing partner to shipbuilders, military markets, fishing and transportation fleets, and is expanding its commercial presence in the UK.
Your Mission:
As Technical Sales Engineer - UK you will be responsible for:
- Managing and expanding a portfolio of existing clients
- Developing new business opportunities across the UK
- Implementing the company’s quality policies in line with ISO 9001 standards
- Contributing to the growth of a fast-developing European group
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Identify and acquire new clients across the UK market
- Organize regular client visits and sales tours
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
- Manage communications via phone, email, and CRM tools
- Create sales proposals and quotes
- Register new clients and opportunities in the database
- Handle major/key accounts
- Support sales growth across all relevant market sectors
Client Retention
- Build long-term relationships with existing clients
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and needs
- Effectively communicate client feedback internally
Quality & Compliance
- Apply internal procedures and quality policies (ISO 9001)
- Identify and report non-conformities and suggest improvements
- Propose corrective or preventive actions as needed
- Ensure strict compliance with internal standards
Your Profile:
- Proven experience in a technical sales role, ideally in the marine, boating, or leisure equipment industries
- Strong understanding of the distribution networks and market structure within the UK boating and leisure sectors
- Basic technical knowledge of boats and marine environments is essential
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and CRM systems
- Internal product training will be provided
- Strong internal communication and reporting abilities
- Empathy, professionalism, and a positive, outgoing attitude
- High degree of autonomy, rigor, and initiative
