About the role:
- Lead front of house at The Pheasant, a community-owned village pub where warm service, strong standards and local hospitality matter.
- You will be responsible for:
- Lead, motivate and develop the front of house team.
- Manage day-to-day service across the bar, restaurant, events and rooms.
- Create a warm, professional guest experience from arrival to departure.
- Maintain service standards, product knowledge and team communication.
- Support rotas, training, stock control, ordering and cash-up procedures.
- Handle guest feedback, bookings and service issues confidently.
- Work closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth, well-timed service.
- Help build local trade, regular custom and a strong community-pub atmosphere.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous hospitality management or supervisory experience.
- Leads naturally, communicates clearly and sets high standards.
- Is organised, commercially aware and confident managing busy services.
- Understands great pub hospitality, from regulars to visitors and event guests.
- Can train, support and motivate a mixed-experience team.
- Is confident with bookings, guest feedback and service issues.
