About the Role
As EMEA planning manager, you will play a pivotal role working closely with the planning director and Uber central team in assisting different local markets with their strategies. This role involves planning, audience analysis, insights gathering, client communication and management. Strong understanding of digital biddable channels, along with offline planning and online support, will be required. We are looking for a strong communicator who is agile, accountable and resourceful.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning director by becoming the primary day‑to‑day contact with Uber Central team and developing close client relationships.
- Project and account management: align teams and agency resources, as well as external partners, to see campaigns through from briefing to delivery.
- Co‑ordination of digital team and EMEA markets, with strong communication across markets.
- Generate insights into consumer behaviour and media choices using tools and resources.
- Create clear and impactful presentations and media plans to communicate recommendations to clients.
- Work closely with specialist digital and creative agencies to deliver effective creative and media solutions.
- Assist with bi‑weekly report insights, campaign post‑buys, case studies & award entries to promote our work on Uber.
- Manage finance processes and trackers/POs to support markets with Uber’s internal finance workstreams.
Capabilities
- Proven client account management experience and strong client management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Solid media planning skills and knowledge of digital trends and landscape.
- Great organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Team player who fosters collaboration across wider teams.
- Hands‑on experience buying media or digital (e.g., Facebook Business Manager, Google Adwords).
- Proficient computer skills, especially Google Docs, and good eye for design.
- Preferable knowledge of media measurement techniques.
- Tracks and coordinates more than four markets simultaneously.
- Some knowledge of implementing new ways of working.
