An established RC frame contractor working on HS2 is looking for a Project Engineer to support delivery of complex concrete structures on one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer with reinforced concrete experience to work on challenging and career-defining civil engineering works, including shafts, stations, bridges, and tunnel access structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site and project management teams in the planning and execution of RC frame packages.
- Interpret technical drawings and ensure construction aligns with design specifications and tolerances.
- Oversee setting out, concrete pours, reinforcement works, and formwork systems.
- Liaise with client engineers, designers, and subcontractors to resolve technical queries.
- Ensure works comply with HS2 specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Assist in preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in RC frame or structural concrete delivery.
- Sound knowledge of temporary works, formwork, and reinforcement detailing.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or rail projects (HS2 experience a plus).
- CSCS card and relevant safety qualifications (SMSTS or SSSTS preferred).
